SPORTS DAY 2026

After the success of last year, we are delighted that our Sports Day will take place at Dundrum Cricket Meadow again. The children are looking forward to competing in front of their families and friends and we hope you’ll join us to cheer them on.

The children should be brought directly to Dundrum Cricket Club at the allocated time and not come to school on this day.

🅿Parking: Parking at Dundrum Cricket Club is limited, so we kindly ask parents to consider car sharing or parking nearby and walking to the venue. The map shown in the photos above, indicates where parking is available. Please take care if you are parking along the road and when crossing the roads.

Children from P1 to P7 can be dropped off at the Cricket Meadow from 10.15am and then parents can find a safe place to park. There will be staff at the entrance to help guide the children to where they need to be.

❗Pupils and parents from the Primary School should not arrive before 10.15am as there will be no supervision available until then. We also must ensure that the Nursery pupils and their families have left the Cricket Meadow safely before our next session begins.

There will be stewards in the car park entrance to help manage traffic and keep everyone in our school community safe. Please be respectful to all stewards.

👟Race Details:
⌚Nursery AM and PM: Races are from 9.15am – 10.00am

⌚P1-P7: Pupils and parents to arrive from 10.15am to start activities at 10.30am. When the pupils arrive, they should assemble with their class. Signs will be in place to indicate where they should go.

P1- P4’s races and awards ceremony will be from 10.30am -11.30am

P5- P7’s races and awards ceremony will be from 11.30am-12.30pm

When the children are not competing, they will be taking part in ActiSport activities.

👟Children can wear their own sports clothes.
Snack will be provided for the children in P1-P7

We would recommend that parents bring a chair or rug to sit on.
We will offer a toddler running race and parents’ race between the P1-P4 and P5-P7 races—if you’d like to join in, please come prepared!

We are delighted to share that this year we will have Lick Gelato and Southpoint Coffee available at our event! You’ll be able to purchase a selection of teas, coffees and ice cream. Thank you to both vendors for their support and for helping make our event even more enjoyable.

❗Please be aware that a river runs alongside the Cricket Meadow, so we kindly ask that younger siblings are kept under close supervision. Thank you

Remember that school finishes at 12.30pm. Pupils to go home from the Cricket Club.
