Green Day 2025π
6th May 2025
Everyone in our school community had a great Green Day! Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this day so much fun and memorable for our pupils.
We appreciated all the donations of plants and for supporting our walking bus- thank you!
A special thanks to one of our parents Rachel, who works for the Ark Community Gardens. She came into assembly and spoke to the children all about plants, how to care for them and how they help our world. Rachel's family have been observing the life cycle of a butterfly in their butterfly garden. Emily and Kate kindly brought them into school to release them into the environment. Thank you for letting us share in this lovely moment. π¦
The children were very busy all day- they took part in an eco scavenger hunt, participated in a big school clean up and were planting in a variety of places. We enjoyed lots of time outside. P4 also took part in a litter pick at the beach, thank you for caring for our local environment.
Well done everyone. Thank you π
