Coronavirus

13th Mar 2020

Understandably, many people are worried and concerned about the spread of coronavirus.  For now, school remains open and we continue to take guidance from the Department of Education and Education Authority who in turn are advised by the NI Assembly.  Some parents have taken the decision to self-isolate and keep their children at home, especially where there are underlying medical issues in the family.  These are exceptional circumstances we find ourselves in and this will be recorded as such on their attendance record.

The NI First Minister has said this morning that schools will close in the future as a result of coronavirus.  At this time, there is no indication of when this will be.

For now, it is most likely that our production of "Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies" will have to be postponed.  The show will definitely go ahead but most likely at a later date in the year.  Tickets already purchased will still be valid for the new date.

Staff are now working on putting together some home learning packs which will be available for you when required.

In the meantime, we will endeavour to take all necessary precautions, including lots of handwashing!  If you suspect someone in your household is displaying signs or symptoms of coronavirus or any other sicknesses, please do not attend school and inform us as soon as possible.  Your support at this difficult time is greatly appreciated.

We will endeavour to keep the website and Facebook page updated with information on a regular basis.
