Dear Parents,
Last week we were greatly saddened to learn of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the Royal Family at this very sad time. Her Majesty has had an enormous, significant and profound impact in inspiring and motivating generations of children and young people to be the best they can be.
Whilst in our community, the Royal family may be viewed very differently, I think we can all recognise in the Queen, a woman of devotion, humility and grace. Her Majesty was of course the longest reigning monarch and will be remembered for a remarkable lifetime of service.
As Monday 19th September has been declared a Bank Holiday for the State Funeral, Newcastle PS and Nursery Unit will be closed to allow families and staff remember and reflect on Her Majesty's great legacy.
